The Center for Environmental Oncology of the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute (CEO-UPCI) is partnering with the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center to expand an existing materials exchange program and place it online. The online program is being referred to as the University of Pittsburgh Materials Exchange (UPME) and has been created as a mechanism for mediating the reuse and recycling of waste materials between UPCI and UPMC hospitals and facilities located throughout the Shadyside and Oakland campuses in Pittsburgh, PA. Future plans include the expansion of the program to include all outlying UPCI and UPMC facilities.

Instantaneously search for Available or Wanted Materials by clicking on the Materials link or simply enter a keyword or category in the Quick Search menu option on this page. Find up-to-date information on all those materials of interest to you. Fill out the online Listing Form to add your own materials to the exchange or contact us to receive a printed copy of all listings.

Since its establishment in the fall of 2006, the University of Pittsburgh Materials Exchange has given administration, researchers, medical staff, faculty, and students the ability to prevent pollution and make a difference in an ever changing world.
