The Center for Environmental Oncology of the University of Pittsburgh
Cancer Institute (CEO-UPCI) is partnering with the University of Pittsburgh
Medical Center to expand an existing materials exchange program and
place it online. The online program is being referred to as the University
of Pittsburgh Materials Exchange (UPME) and has been created as a mechanism
for mediating the reuse and recycling of waste materials between UPCI
and UPMC hospitals and facilities located throughout the Shadyside and
Oakland campuses in Pittsburgh, PA. Future plans include the expansion
of the program to include all outlying UPCI and UPMC facilities.
